Terms of Service

These terms govern use of the Categoric website and, together with the access and commercial terms agreed when an account is admitted, the Categoric service. Categoric, Inc. (“Categoric”) provides accounting software; it does not replace your accountant or your professional judgment. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you are acting for an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept on its behalf.
Access and accounts
Submitting an early-access request does not create an account or guarantee admission. New workspaces may require an invitation. Keep your credentials secure and use only workspaces and records you are authorized to access. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the accuracy and legality of information you provide.
Evaluation and payment
Before an admitted evaluation begins, we will communicate its scope, applicable limits, and commercial terms. Any paid access begins only after usable access and agreed terms. Our pricing page describes the per-entity rate, introductory period, invitation-only founding offer, and volume quotes. The founding offer covers only the first entity of the first 50 approved founding customers, for 60 days from usable access; additional entities are paid. Evaluation terms for later cohorts are agreed during onboarding, not guaranteed by an access request. An access request does not reserve an offer, and a free period does not trigger an automatic charge without accepted terms. A separate agreement may describe your organization's subscription and billing arrangements. Third-party services, including AI providers, may require separate accounts or subscriptions.
Your data and decisions
You retain responsibility for the records you provide and for reviewing accounting classifications, entries, reports, and proposed actions before relying on them. Use the service only for lawful purposes; do not upload records you are not authorized to process or attempt to bypass another organization’s access controls. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
Availability and changes
Features and integrations may change as the service develops. Do not treat the software as a substitute for maintaining independent copies of records required by your legal, tax, or accounting obligations. We may restrict access to protect the service or other users or when these terms are violated. We will communicate material changes to these terms through the service or by email; the updated terms will identify their effective date.
